At Powers Ferry, God has assembled Christians from many countries to worship
and praise Him. Among our membership, we have brothers and sisters from
Ethiopia, Nigeria, the Caribbean, Japan, Ghana, and the United States. Yet, we
are all God’s Family!
At Powers Ferry, we also offer many opportunities for involvement and spiritual
transformation. If I, or any other member of the staff, can assist you in any way,
please contact us.
Blessings,
Rev. Jane M. Nugent

Powers Ferry UMC has two Recycling Bins in the back parking lot: one for
newspapers and one for magazines. According to SP Recycling, office/home
paper also can be placed in the newspaper bin AND telephone books can be
placed in the magazine bin! We receive a check based on weight, which is
deposited in the pastor’s benevolence fund. Please bring your paper, magazines,
and/or telephone books to our bins!
Re-cycling Dreams: One Bike at a Time for One Child at a Time
Random Bikes Of Kindness (RBOK) is a non-profit foundation created by Rev.
Mark Nugent to touch the lives of kids from lower income families in the Cobb
County area. RBOK is staffed by volunteers committed to making dreams come
true by providing kids with a beautifully refurbished bicycle and a new safety
helmet. The volunteers of RBOK also provide safety education days and free
bike repair clinics in lower income communities. Random Bikes of Kindness is
currently accepting volunteers and donations of all unwanted bikes and bike
parts. Any bike or bike part that cannot be reconditioned will be recycled. For
more information, visit www.randombikesofkindness.com or call Rev. Mark
Nugent at (404) 317-9696.
